For Brittany Hodge, supporting housing and education isn’t just a passion – it’s a necessity. As a lifelong resident of the Mount Washington Valley and now raising her own family locally, she has experienced firsthand the critical role access to affordable housing and education plays in a thriving community. While she supports residents through her career as a Mortgage Loan Officer NMLS# 2387835 at MVSB, she extends that expertise to support the causes that are near and dear to her.
Brittany serves as a board member with the Mount Washington Valley Housing Coalition (MWVHC), a nonprofit organization that advocates for affordable, sustainable and community-enhancing housing for residents in the region.
“North Conway is a wonderful community to call home, with a surplus of recreation activities, beautiful scenery, great local businesses and caring residents who go out of their way to support each other. But it is no secret that we have faced our share of affordable housing shortages and hurdles,” said Brittany. “I am so proud to play my part among the wonderful group of caring volunteers advocating for local individuals and families seeking a place to call their own. Affordable local housing options offers so many benefits, including increased local workforce, economic growth, and healthier and more vibrant communities.”
The MWVHC seeks to continue and increase advocacy in local government initiatives, develop and maintain information and data, and help communicate the importance of affordable housing options. The organization has made a push to help increase accessory dwelling units, which offers property owners an option to build rental space for a variety of purposes.
Brittany also graduated from the 2023-2024 New Hampshire Housing Homeownership Fellows program. Ten New Hampshire homebuying professionals are chosen each year to participate in this program, which gives fellows the opportunity to explore the mortgage finance system and participate in workshops about housing and public policy, housing and economic development, state government issues and New Hampshire Housing’s homeownership programs.
“It was so eye opening to participate in this important program, which allowed me to deepen my understanding of NH’s housing industry and affordable housing options, all while learning about New Hampshire Housing and all the important work they do,” said Brittany.
As a parent who cares deeply about supporting education, Brittany is proud to serve as president of the Parent Teacher Organization in Conway. She supports the students, staff and families of the Conway School District by assisting with fundraising, fields trips, clothing and food donations, events and more.
In addition to these roles, you’re likely to find Brittany attending and volunteering for local fundraisers to support local community nonprofits.
Brittany joined MVSB in 2022 and serves customers in the Mount Washington Valley and surrounding communities with their mortgage lending needs. She has an Associate Degree in Business Management from Lakes Region Community College.
