MVSB is proud to announce that Nicole Ames, MVSB Mortgage Loan Officer NMLS# 2370119, was recently named a 2024-2025 New Hampshire Housing Homeownership Fellow.
Eleven New Hampshire professionals who work with homebuyers were accepted to the program, which offers an opportunity for participants to explore the mortgage finance system and participate in workshops about housing and public policy, housing and economic development, state government issues and New Hampshire Housing’s homeownership programs.
“This program offers participants a comprehensive and immersive opportunity to understand the current challenges in the mortgage industry and ways to best support homeowners through their homebuying journey,” said Charlie Dowd, Vice President Residential Mortgage Sales, NMLS# 737415. “We are excited to have Nicole participate and stay up to date with the latest trends and programs so she can continue to provide exceptional care and knowledge to her clients.”
This year’s fellows kicked off the program in September with a trip to Washington DC, where they toured the capital building, met with congressional delegation and learned ways they can serve as advocates for policies impacting the housing and mortgage industry. The curriculum will continue at various locations throughout the state where the group will participate in days focused on demographics and economy, housing, community service and New Hampshire government and politics.
Nicole joined MVSB in 2022 and serves customers throughout Strafford County with their mortgage lending needs. She volunteers with End 68 Hours of Hunger, First United Methodist Soup Kitchen, Vouchers for Veterans and serves as Committee Chair for the Strafford County Board of Realtors.
