MVSB is proud to announce the 2024 recipients of the James D. Sutherland Memorial Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded annually to one graduating senior from high schools located in communities where MVSB has a branch office.
This year’s recipients are:
- Hailey Belliveau, of Sanbornville, daughter of Laurie and Alan Belliveau, attending the University of New Hampshire
- Emma Dubois, of Center Harbor, daughter of Max and Kerry Dubois, attending Endicott College
- Brayden Gardner, of Gilmanton, son of Alicia and Matthew Gardner, attending Clark University
- Caroline Goren, of Center Harbor, daughter of Sarah, attending Plymouth State University
- Zoe Gouin, of Portsmouth, daughter of Gilda Pronych and Richard Gouin, attending Dalhousie University
- Kaela Marchildon, of Center Barnstead, attending Curry College
- Lillian Metz, of North Conway, daughter of Bob and Kathy Metz, attending Emmanuel College
- Marko Mlinar, of Gilmanton, son of Ljubomir and Radiuojka Mlinar, attending Singidunum University
- Kelly O’Brien, of Stratham, daughter of John and Megan O’Brien, attending Salve Regina University
- Lily O’Brien, of Thornton, daughter of Tanya and Sean O’Brien, attending Columbia University
- Carrigain Williams, of Wolfeboro, daughter of Laurie Raymond and Douglas Williams, attending the University of New Hampshire.
The Sutherland Memorial Scholarship was established in memory of James Sutherland, who served as President and CEO of MVSB from 1982-1996. Scholarship recipients represent the MVSB company values of accountability, mutuality, excellence, respect, integrity, teamwork and stewardship.
